Derivita is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated K-12 Account Executive to join our team and drive the adoption of our cutting-edge courseware and assessment platform in school districts throughout a designated region.
A highly successful Derivita Account Executive will:
- Build and Manage Relationships: Establish and nurture strong relationships with K-12 district administrators, curriculum specialists, principals, teachers and other decision-makers to understand their specific needs and challenges.
- Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the Derivita platform and its capabilities, benefits, and alignment with various K-12 math curricula and pedagogical approaches.
- Solution Sales: Collaborate with administrators and educators to identify how Derivita can address their specific needs and challenges, providing tailored solutions, and demonstrating the value of our products and services.
- Pipeline Development: Proactively identify and generate new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting, conferences and events, referrals, and partnerships.
- Presentations and Demos: Conduct engaging presentations, software demonstrations, and webinars to showcase the capabilities and advantages of Derivita.
- Sales Cycle Management: Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure, while maintaining accurate records in the CRM system.
- Market Insights: Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and changes in K-12 education policies and funding to provide valuable insights to the team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our Marketing, Partner Success, and Product development teams to ensure alignment and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Qualifications:
This position is designed for an experienced, highly motivated Account Executive who has a high attention to detail, strives for customer success, is articulate and credible, and is data and metrics driven.
- Bachelor's degree in education, business, or related field (Master's degree preferred). Current or former educators are encouraged to apply!
- Proven track record of successful K-12 software sales, preferably in math education.
- Strong knowledge of the K-12 education landscape, curriculum, and decision-making and budgeting processes.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and driven to achieve sales targets.
- Willingness to travel regionally and nationally to meet with current and prospective clients and attend industry conferences and events.
