Introducing Partner Success Manager: Julie Tylman

We asked Julie a few questions about her life inside and outside of Derivita and here are the results:

1. In 2 sentences, please describe what you do for Derivita.

My job is to make sure our educators are 100% supported from initial Derivita implementation through product training and ongoing product use. My goal is to deeply understand their classroom needs and help them leverage their usage of Derivita's constantly increasing capabilities to boost student success. I'm also a voice for our customers, advocating for new content and functionality based on feedback from our terrific teachers and students. 

2. What makes Derivita different from other companies in the EdTech space? 

I've worked with numerous educational technology platforms in my career and I find it magical how Derivita actually "does" math. For example, I could enter a completely random 12-digit number into an open-ended question like "Enter a Prime Number" and Derivita knows whether it's prime or not. Who does that? Plus, good ideas from our customers can end up in the product with lightning-speed turnaround compared to other ed tech companies. 

3. What is your favorite part about working at Derivita? 

The people, for sure. I followed two of my beloved former co-workers to Derivita and found a whole company of people as exceptional as they are.

4. What is your most listened to or your go-to song right now? 

I recently saw Bruce Springsteen in concert for the first time (on my bucket list for a VERY long time) and I still have a rotating playlist of Born to Run, Rosalita, and Dancing in the Dark rattling around in my head. 

5. What is your favorite Spring-inspired dessert or meal?

In the spring (and summer), I love fruit-filled desserts. I just made my mom's raspberry torte for Easter...so yummy.
