Derivita's Best Practices:

Assign a Derivita "Student Tutorial":

Within Assignment Assembly, you will find a Student Tutorial under the "Utilities" folder. Assign this to your students to help them learn the in's and out's of Derivita. That way once you assign and assessment or assignment, they are prepared and are less likely to run into technical difficulties.

Test "Assignment Settings" with "Student View":

Once you have configured your Derivita settings on a particular assignment, utilize your Learning Management System's (LMS) or Derivita's Student View capability to experience the assignment from the student's perspective. This will allow you to encounter potential issues or misconceptions before publishing the assignment, quiz, or exam.

Experience your questions as a student:

When building your assignments, you can double click on any question to try it out as if you were a student. View Derivita's Immediate Feedback, fully worked-out solutions, and question randomizations for each question before adding the question to your practice assignment, homework, quiz, or exam.

Explore the Derivita Support Center:

Our Derivita Support Team is on standby to answer any questions or quell any concerns that may arise for you, your students, or the administrative staff at your institution. However, we also have created a Support Center with educator, administrator, IT specialist, and student resources readily available 24/7/365. We recommend exploring the Support Center and digging into all the capabilities Derivita has to offer.
